Laxman Jhula is a popular tourist attraction in Rishikesh. This legendary suspension bridge, stretching 450 feet over the sacred Ganges River, carries great spiritual importance. In Hindu mythology, it is said that Lord Laxman, who is the younger brother of Lord Rama, crossed the river at this location using a jute rope.

Currently, Laxman Jhula is closed for renovation and will soon be replaced by Bajrang Setu, a glass-fitted suspension bridge. The construction of Bajrang Setu began in January 2022. Once completed, the bridge will be 132.5-meter-long with a width of 8 meters, and the centre of it will be for two-way light vehicle movement while the outer area on both left and right sides will be for pedestrians.

Triveni Ghat is one of the most revered and spiritually significant sites in Rishikesh. Situated on the banks of the sacred Ganges River, this ancient ghat marks the mythical confluence of three holy rivers, Ganga, Yamuna, and the Saraswati. It holds deep spiritual value, drawing countless pilgrims who come to bathe in its waters, believing it cleanses sins and grants spiritual liberation.

Triveni Ghat is an essential stop on every Rishikesh sightseeing tour. The highlight of the ghat is the Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing evening ritual where priests chant Vedic hymns and offer lighted oil lamps to the river. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple marks the legendary site where Shiva is believed to have consumed the poison churned from the ocean during the Samudra Manthan, turning his throat blue, hence the name Neelkanth (the Blue-Throated One). Located about 32 km from Rishikesh, the temple is surrounded by dense forests and panoramic valleys, offering a spiritually enriching and visually stunning experience for both devotees and nature lovers.

Spanning over 820 square kilometers, Rajaji National Park is one of the top attractions near Rishikesh for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and wildlife enthusiasts. Nestled in the foothills of the Shivalik range, this protected sanctuary is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, including elephants, tigers, leopards, deer, and more than 315 species of birds. With its breathtaking landscapes and vibrant biodiversity, the park offers a captivating blend of adventure and tranquility.

Rajaji is a paradise for wildlife photographers and thrill-seekers, offering jeep safaris, nature walks, and birdwatching tours. The park is divided into several zones, with Chilla, Motichur, and Ranipur being the most accessible for safari experiences. A jeep safari through these zones provides a front-row view of the park's natural splendor, visitors may witness herds of elephants in their natural habitat or, with luck, catch a glimpse of a majestic tiger or elusive leopard.
