The festivities commenced when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lit the first lamp at Namo Ghat, then proceeded to the grand Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, which was marked with 'Har Har Mahadev' that reverberated and could be heard over the surface of the river.

Chet Singh Ghat experienced the shining night sky flooded with environmentally friendly fireworks and a mesmerizing 3D projection show, along with the modern-age visual marvels seamlessly intertwined with touches of spirituality.
