Bharat Kala Bhavan

One of the India's most prominent, cultural and artistic museum. Located inside the Banaras Hindu University and founded by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and conceived by Padmavibhushan Rai Krishnadas, a historian and a scholar.

The purpose of the museum was to showcase Indian heritage, art and history. The museum included 'Paintings' (Miniatures, Modern Indian Art, Tantric), 'Sculptors' that dated back to Gupta and Maurya eras, also including sandstone and bronze sculptors, 'Textiles', 'Archaeological Artifacts' (coins and pottery), 'Manuscripts', 'Decorative Art', 'Folk and Tribal Art' etc.

This museum is the epitome of Indian culture and artistic and historic legacy. Should give at least 2-3 hours of your day to fully explore the museum.
