Ramnagar Fort

Ramnagar is famous for its majestic Ramnagar Fort built in 18th Century by Maharaja Balwant Singh of the Varanasi Kingdom known as Benares at that time.

The Ramnagar Fort is an architectural beauty as it combines both Indian and Islamic (Mughal) architectural styles. The fort also offers a major attraction that is anastronomical clock which tells months, weeks and days based on the alignment of the planets, moon and sun.

The fort served as a royal residence to Kashi Naresh in the past but is now home to the current king Anant Narayan Singh. It also hosts the famous RamnagarRamleela.
