Sankat Mochan Temple

The Monkey God and the devoted follower of Lord Rama, “Lord Hanuman” has a dedicated temple in Varanasi called as SankatMochan Temple. It is also known as The Monkey Temple because of many monkeys residing inside or around the temple.

Located near Durga Kund. The temple was founded by Saint Poet “Goswami Tulsidas Ji” himself after he had a vision or dream of Hanuman Ji granting him a blessing on that very spot where the temple is constructed in the 16th century.

Since then, it has been a revered spot for the devotees to seek blessing from the almighty Hanuman Ji.
